You Will Never Be President, Kiraitu Murungi Slams Presidential Aspirant

Kiraitu Murungi didn’t have time to mince words at all when it came to speaking his truth the other day.

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi slammed all the hopes the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi had for the presidency ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Speaking boldly and freely during the meeting with members of his Devolution Empowerment Party(DEP), Governor Kiraitu said that all the people from the Mt. Kenya region should forget all their hopes of being in power any time soon because this presidential election is already spoken for.

He also disputed claims that Mt. Kenya parties are forming an alliance to come up with a serious candidate for the 2022 general election.

“This time around we must accept that we will not get the presidency. Let’s give ourselves about 10 to 20 years before we clinch power,” Kiraitu stated.

The Meru County boss made it clear that there’s no way in this green earth that Speaker Justin Muturi has a chance of beating Deputy President William Ruto or ODM Party leader in 2022.

“There will be no president coming from Mt Kenya region and I’m sorry to say that even my friend Justin Muturi has tried so hard but he has seen that his chances are limited.

We can look for something else because this time around we won’t get that seat,” he said.
