Journalist Dennis Onsarigo was left in a precarious situation after the loss of Raila Odinga in the August 9, 2022 General Election.

Onsarigo served as Raila’s presidential campaigns secretariat following his appointment on February 13, 2022.

However, Onsarigo became jobless after William Ruto took over as the fifth president.

Nyamira governor Amos Nyaribo offered Onsarigo a soft landing as he appointed him as the Chief of Staff in Nyamira County.

Onsarigo expressed his excitement over the appointment in a statement to the Star.

“I am excited. I commit to serve the people of Nyamira with utter professionalism,” he said.

He however said he could not disclose more concerning his job at Raila’s camp.

Onsarigo served in a county government before. He was the Director of Communications in Taita Taveta County.
