Kenya’s Most Hilarious Politicians

Kenya’s political scene is always full of turn-tramps and all kinds of people. You will find jokers, serious professionals, and sometimes even rogue politicians.

Here are some of the politicians that are considered funny in Kenya.

Oscar Sudi

The Kapseret MP might sometimes be considered extremist more so when attacking his political foes, but the politician is very funny.

When he encounters reporters and they ask him all sorts of questions, the MP will answer them.

He is also known for speaking his mind. A while back, the MP publicly complained that his colleagues in Parliament were speaking too much English which he can’t understand.

Governor John Lonyangapuo

West Pokot is not only a professor in Mathematics but also in cracking jokes. He is known for making fun of his political proponents and quoting funny huge political vocabularies.

One particular incident is when he referred to one of his former employees as “Kijana fupi, amenona round, ujui kiuno iko wapi na mgongo iko wapi”.

Governor Alfred Mutua

The Machakos Governor is known for making small jokes whenever he is addressing this audience. He will crack a joke about his love life, make fun of slang words used on the streets among the youths.

Dr. Mutua loves making jokes so much that in a previous interview with comedian Daniel Nadambuki alias Churchill, he claimed that he would wish to be a comedian when he retires from politics.

Junet Mohamed

Junet has become popular in the political field for his funny comments about political situations or bushing fellow politicians.

In 2020 during the promulgation of the BBI report at KICC, Junet is remembered for taking over the show after he bushed Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and Garissa Township MP Aden Duale for trying to disrupt the meeting.

He is also remembered for making a joke in parliament by referring to politicians as cows who follow their party leaders without questioning their decisions.

William Chepkut

The MP is known for his eclectic dances to his funny speeches, characters that make him one of the funniest legislators in Kenya.

Chepkut is remembered for lighting up the later Nicholas Biwott’s burial ceremony. He cracked the ribs of mourners after claiming that the later former powerful minister’s last words to the Kalenjin community were to re-elect him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Joshua Kuttuny

The Cherang’anyi is known for his old school sheng something that has left most of his audience in stitches.
