Harambee Stars Head Coach Drops Key Players Ahead Of World Cup Qualifiers

Harambee Stars head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee has named his squad for the upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers.

However, the head coach shocked sports lovers in the country after dropping major players ahead of the looming world cup qualifiers which will happen in 2022.

Veteran players like Victor Wanyama, Johanna Ng’eno ,Timbe,Akumu, and Joash Onyango are missing out of the provisional squad recently released.

On the other hand, Head coach ‘Ghost’Mulee surprised football fans with the maiden call up of new players like Brandon,Odada,Momanyi,Siraj, and Frank.

Harambee Stars is in one of the toughest groups where they will play against Mali, Rwanda and the neighboring Uganda.

Some fans however, termed the call-up unfair due to the omission of Clarke Oduor, who has had a perfect start to the English Championship season. The 22year old is a natural attacking midfielder and is considered a utility player who doubles up as a left back as well.

Ommission of Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama and the call up of 2 goal keepers from the same team(Kariobangi Sharks FC) owned by FKF president Nick Mwenda also seemed to raise eyebrows among a set of fans.

Fans will be keen to see whether Head coach ‘Ghost’ Mulee will successfully guide Harambee Stars to the 2022 World Cup for the first time in the history of Kenyan football.

Recently, debate was rife on the real ages of some of the Harambee Stars players taking part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations. This debate was sparked by a photo of Joash Onyango whose age was 26 but his look contradicted the same.

The defender had been subjected to all manner of ridicule on social media platforms that have further been fueled by his blonde beard.
