Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, is finally able to speaks three years after being shot fatally by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
DJ Evolve regained his voice after undergoing a successful surgery that was performed last month.
“I never thought this day would come but I have finally regained my voice back. I have truly seen God’s work,” he told a local newspaper.
His surgery was performed on March 26 but he couldn’t speak well till recently.
DJ Evolve’s health has however improved at a time when the court ruled that his perpetrator has a case to answer for allegedly misusing a firearm, in the shooting incident that occurred at a club in Kilimani.
According to Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi the prosecution had gathered enough evidence to put Owino to defense.
Ochoi said that the court was satisfied that the prosecution had established a strong case against the MP.
If found guilty, Owino is likely to be fined Kshs10,000 or jailed for 6 months. The hearing for the case has been scheduled for June 15, 2023.
DJ Evolve had previously applied to have attempted murder charges against Owino withdrawal after both teams agreed to settle the matter out of court. The court approved the withdrawal.
