Former Tahidi Actor Abel Mutua Rakes In Millions In Hours From His Movie 

Filmmaker Abel Mutua has opened up about the movie he made which earned him millions in a matter of hours after its first screening.

The actor opened up about the money he made from his movie ‘Click Click Bang’ while speaking during an interview on Radio Citizen.

Abel said Ksh2,500 people attended the film’s screening held on Friday and Saturday and each person paid Ksh1000 as an entrance fee.

The filmmaker revealed that he made Ksh2.5 million from a 24-hour-screening of his new movie.

“For this weekend alone that figure is very accurate because everyone paid Ksh.1000 as entrance fee. So Ksh2.5 million already is in the bag,” Abel noted.

Mutua was inspired by the success of ‘Click Click Bang’ and he is now working on another movies.

“We have been chasing the cinema-going culture, that’s been my goal with Philo (co-director) and there are people turning out in large numbers.

“This weekend only we had four screenings and we had 2500 people. That has never happened in this country before. I know consistency is the only thing to get us to that level. Na ju ya hio story hatusimami, movie next ishaandikwa,” Abel noted.
