Veteran Taarab singer Khadija Kopa is willing to get married again even though she says it’s not a must.

Speaking to Tanzanian press, Kopa said she was not really forward to get married but nevertheless stated that if God brings the right person she would gladly settle down in marriage.

“Mi hakuna mtu ataweza kunisitiri mi mwenyewe nimejisitiri. Akitokezea mtu anataka kunioa mwenyezi Mungu kashaniletea kama nataka ntaolewa… staki basi. Sina ulazima,” she said.

Zuchu’s mother noted that she was apprehensive about marriage because she didn’t want to be stressed by a man.

“Sitamani. Nani anahitaji stress za dunia? Mi sihitaji stress hapa nilipo saa hivi. Nataka stress za mwenyezi Mungu tu hapa duniani nilipo. Lakini ikitokea kurumbembe huko mwenyezi Mungu kashanifungia ntakaa. Lakini sina lazima,” she said.

The Taarab queen further noted that her ideal husband is a mature man. She stressed that she doesn’t want Ben 10s.

“Umri muhimu, nataka mtu mzima ehh mwenye akili yake. Staki vitoto mie,” she added.
