Stephen Letoo Thrashes KBC After Citizen TV Is Denied Chance To Cover Ruto's Swearing-in Event

Citizen TV is among private television stations that have been locked out of William Ruto’s swearing-in ceremony to be held on September 13, 2022.

Unlike the other national events where local media channels got exclusive rights to cover events, it’s only KBC and multichoice/DSTV that have been given exclusive rights.

Consequently, the likes of Citizen TV will rely on the feed from these two to share with their audience.

Citizen TV reporter Stephen Letoo took a subtle dig at KBC moments after the station was denied the chance to cover the swearing-in event.

Letoo in a post on social media, while sharing statics about Citizen TV’s viewership, said politics was about numbers while in media it is about viewers.

Letoo’s post showed 46,000 viewers watching Citizen TV on YouTube while only 500 viewers were watching KBC.
