Eric Omodi

Comedian Eric Omondi has for the first time talked about why he quit Radio Jambo just after eight months.

Speaking to fellow comedian Oga Obinna on his YouTube channel, Omondi admitted that he was not fired from radio but was overwhelmed by work.

“I was Radio Jambo, and I was at the peak of my profession. I’m not a morning person, but I remember I was there with Gidi and Ghost. I worked at Radio Jambo for eight months and I was overwhelmed. My manager and I told ourselves the truth that working in radio did not suit me,” Omondi said.

The comedian admitted that he struggled balance his comedy works and his job at Radio Jambo.

“There are two Barclays shows we missed in Kisumu, they were about half a million and that’s why we decided to write a letter to the leadership,” he said.

After seeing that he was overwhelmed with work on the radio, Omondi said that he had to consult with his manager and they wrote a resignation letter.
