Former Papa Shirandula actress Kawira left her matrimonial home five years after she got married in a colourful wedding

Kawira, whose real name is Joy Karambu, got married to Ephantus Safari Wahome in a wedding ceremony held on 22nd November 2014.

The former Papa Shirandula actress, however ‘silently’ walked out of her marriage in June 2022.

She revealed that her marriage crumbled while speaking during an interview on Kamuhunjia show.

The mother of two once again talked about her failed marriage during a recent interview with a local news outlet.

She said her marriage couldn’t survive especially after learning new things about her partner who had kept them a secret for years.

The actress has now stated that she regrets she didn’t leave her husband early enough.

“I regret that I would have left early so we can move on early. We would have moved to another chapter by now,” she said.

She advises anyone in a troubled marriage not to wait if it is not working.

“We called for delegation but still, it did not work. I am yet to find out why the marriage did not work because I still don’t understand. I don’t understand why I had to go through that yet I was a church girl,” she said.

“You cannot know who you are dealing with in the entertainment industry. People can be pretenders and money is not everything,” she said adding that she left to find her peace. I left during a pandemic coz I was not at peace. While dating there was no red flag,” she added.

Speaking on parenting, Kawira disclosed that she had also lost her first pregnancy before she conceived her twins. She also lost one of her triplets, she is now a mother to a boy and a girl.

“I am a mother of twins but before that, I had lost my first pregnancy and then I had triplets and I lost one child. I am a mum to a boy and a girl. I would say maybe the assignment in that marriage was to just get my children,” she said.

Kawira is currently single as she focuses on raising her kids.
