The Cabinet Secretary of Tourism, Najib Balala has once again sparked online reaction right after he announced that the award-winning, talented actor and director and Producer Edward Norton is the new Ambassador for Kenya.

Najib Balala announced through social media that the one and only Hollywood superstar Edward Norton who is in the country will be the Magical Kenyan Tembo Naming Festival Ambassador.

Najib Balala shared a photo of himself walking together with the celebrated, gifted actor who has done a lot in the Hollywood movie scene through his acting and being a director and producer.

“Award-winning actor, director, and producer, Edward Norton will be the Magical Kenya Tembo Naming Festival Ambassador. #SaveTheTembo #MagicalKenya,” Najib Balala shared on social media.

The Cabinet Secretary of Tourism Hon. Najib Balala’s announcement has been met with admiration and a little bit of resistance from Kenyan netizens who believe that Edward Norton will do a great job in promoting Kenya tourism while others are bent on supporting the idea of the ministry engaging Lupita Nyong’o to be the Ambassador of the same.

“I believe Lupita Nyongo could do better in this post mainly because of his award-winning positions as an actor. Furthermore more he is known globally both in Africa and the rest of the world. Your choice is one-sided…. let’s give your daughter his trophy,” one Mr. Thomas Kamuyu shared his sentiments.

Also Mr. Okumu Samuel Owino commended the tourism CS for a good job done and even noted that he’s the most active and performing CS in Jubilee’s government today.

He said, “Mheshimiwa you’re so far the most active and performing CS. I admire your energy. Keep up the good work! I wish I could attend the function.”
