Abel Mutua has revealed the one thing he misses about boarding a matatu.
Speaking after his close friend Njugush and his wife Wakavinye unveiled their new matatu, Mutua said that he wouldn’t mind boarding one.
“Namiss stories, ukiingia hapa unapata stories mbaya. Inatakanga tu mtu mmoja afanye kitu ya ujinga, story inaanza,” he told a local digital media.
According to him, the last time he used a matatu was in 2021. Now that he owns and a car and because of convenience matters, he has been forced to abandon using matatus completely.
“Mi ni ordinary, mi hupanda mat sana. Mwisho nilipanda end of 2021 but nawezapanda, sio ati hunilemea ni vile hii time niko na gari unless niamue niiwache niende nipande,” he said.
Njugush and his wife were able to acquire the matatu after selling their Land Cruiser TX.
The comedian is hopeful that the new investment would thrive.
“I have no idea vile tuliend up hapa but tuko hapa. Kile tu naomba wakenya pandeni gari, msanii anawategemea. I hope it works and we have more of this,” he said.
Asked on why he decided to venture into the business, the father of two said, “Imagine sina answer ya hio but ideally hakuna place hatuingii, nexttunaingia farming. Tunajaribu tu kila kitu.”
He also revealed why Abel Mutua was the only one, among his friends, whose image was not placed in the matatu.
“It is because everyone of those people wamecontribute. Ningetaka kuchora wasee wote, kama wasee walikuja TTNT 1, 2,3,4 na 5 ningewachora hapo but for those guys the key guys wamechangia in one way or the other. Mtu tu hajachangia na ndio maana sijamchora ni Abel, in one way or the other because kwa hii dunia hauwezi fanya vitu pekee yako,” he said.
