Seems like 2025 began on a high note. Just two months down the year, popular personalities are throwing lavish parties, with each striving to ensure that their event stands out.

Seemingly, they are debunking the myth that the first months of the year, especially January, are tough and that people are usually broke.

Whatever the occasion, celebrities have gone out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect right from the venue, guest list, theme, dress code, food and drinks.
In this article, we have a look at the high end parties that have been held since January.

1.The Bahati’s Big Day
The Bahati’s, on March 1, 2025, held an all-white party at Argyle Grand Hotel, to launch their betting company.

While their guests were dressed in white, the couple settled for black and gold outfits.

Many thought that their day to finally say I do had come as they hyped the event, only for them to surprise fans with the multi-million investment.

The event was graced with top celebrities with Mwalimu Rachel and MC Jessy being the MCs of the day.
Apparently, the couple spent over Kshs120million to launch the betting company.

Diana and Bahati however revealed that they will be walking down the aisle in October 20, 2025.

2.Dorea Chege and DJ Dibul

The actress and her DJ husband will soon be welcoming their bouncing baby girl. On March 2, 2025, they held a lavish baby shower, with Dorea terming the experience as celestial.

“We dared to dream big for our baby shower and the result was a celebration that transcended the ordinary and soared into the extraordinary. Thank you everyone who helped us create this unforgettable baby shower. It was a celestial experience we will cherish forever,” she said on social media.

They settled for white outfits for the big day. The baby shower comes just weeks after the couple held a lavish gender reveal in February where they revealed they are expecting a baby girl

3.DJ Mo and Size 8 Wedding
When many thought that their marriage was done and dusted, DJ Mo and Size 8 surprised Kenyans, when they announced that they had renewed their marriage vows. The invites-only event took place on February 18, 2025. Although the event was low-key, photos shared online speak of opulence and class. Size had a white gown for the occasion and DJ Mo settled for a black designer suit, not to mention the classic outfits that their bridal team donned.

4.Mulamwah’s son’s birthday
Comedian Mulamwah and Ruth K’s son turned 1 year old in early February and the couple went out of their way to make the day memorable for their little prince. From organizing a picnic to throwing a lavish party at Boma Inn hotel in Eldoret, the couple ensured that they maximized the day.
Their outfits were also striking as they went for a shed of brown with a touch of white.

5.Hannah Benta
The TikToker’ s lavish birthday was held in late January at Villa Rosa Kempinski. While her guests were in red, Hannah was dressed a shiny gown that had some red spots at the front.
According to her, she fully funded the birthday that allegedly cost about 1 million. She shared just one of the receipts that had a bill of Kshs180,000.

“There is no body who paid for my birthday party, even 10 bob. Miss independent” she proudly said.

6.The Wajesus family Baby shower
Milly and Kabi Wajesus are also another celebrity couple that wouldn’t settle for less when it comes to events and important occasions in their lives. The couple, who even travelled abroad to conceive and went to Dubai to share news with fans about their third pregnancy held their lavish gender reveal followed up with a baby shower in January.
Their delivery room also oozed opulence and class.
