“It Was Meant To Be Private” Corazon Kwamboka Rants After Media Leaks News Of Her Hospitalization

Corazon Kwamboka slipped into depression and the situation got really bad that she was admitted in hospital for some days before being discharged.

The mother of two recently revealed that she is battling depression brought about by her breakup with Frankie.

Corazon promised to talk in detail about her nasty split with her baby daddy once she gets over the pain she is feeling.

“Yes I have struggles with depression. What I’m going through is not easy and I’m not the only one who has gone through it. One day when I heal I’ll address just to encourage and give strength to another woman who feels how I feel. For now’ I ask for privacy. Thanks for all the beautiful messages,” wrote Corazon Kwamboka.

Corazon decided to explicitly talk about her situation after news about her hospitalization was leaked by on tabloids.

“Recently I went through a traumatic experience that saw me in hospital for a couple of days. This matter that was meant to be private somehow found it’s way into the blogs, I’m glad it did because now I can be open and talk about it, maybe even get more people like me to seek help,” wrote Corazon.

However, she lamented about how Kenyans were making fun of mental health oblivious of how the condition adversely affects people.

“Seeing all the comments made me realize that we (Kenyans) are still so far behind when it comes to mental health awareness. Would you laugh at someone who’s suffering from Malaria or cancer? Would you tell them man up? Why then is it that depression taken as such a joke. What is so funny about someone going through it.

“Some think because someone has some money, or a family, or is Beautiful and educated, they should know better than to suffer depression. Total crap, anyone can go into depression ( they actually say the more intelligent you are, the more your chances of getting depressed),” wrote Corazon.

She continued…

“It’s about time we spot this gossip and immaturity and take mental health seriously. When someone tell you they’re going through something stop automatically assuming they want sympathy or attention. Listen to them, take it seriously, you may just save a life.

“I’m not here for your sympathy or to get you to understand me, I’m getting professional help and I’m doing better. I’m here to tell you that depression is not a joke and it’s not the same as feeling sad. It’s literally something that affects your brain, stops you from seeing any good in your life. And if you’re depressed please seek help. DON’T GIVE UP. There is always 1 person who loves you unconditionally and is willing to listen to you. And if you can, seek professional help. IT WON’T ALWAYS BE DARK.”
