The Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya is the next person to publicly disown the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga following the footsteps of Kanini Kega.
Kieni Member of Parliament, Kanini Kega disowned Raila Odinga over the weekend at the popular Honi Resort in Nyeri county where he publicly addressed the revelers and told them that he doesn’t support Raila Odinga at all.
He explained that he is only in the Azimio La Umoja movement to “eat” his fair share of the government’s money because the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) Party leader is a state project as purported by a lot of politicians.
The Agriculture CS declined being a member of the ODM Party pledging loyalty to his political party PNU.
On Monday, 31st January 2022, CS Peter Munya became the second person to distance himself from Raila Odinga categorically stating that he’s not Jakom’s follower noting that his political party will continue and remain being the Party of National Unity(PNU).
“Watu hawaelewi. ODM Mimi siko ODM ni chama ya Raila. Sisi tumesema tuko Jubilee na PNU ambayo ndio Chama yangu. Hizo vyama vyote viko kwenye azimio (I am not an ODM party member. ODM is Raila Odinga’s party, I am in PNU),” he stated.
The Cabinet Secretary made it clear that there won’t be anyone from Mt. Kenya who will join ODM but instead, they will either join PNU or maybe Jubilee as they work on forming the next government come August 9, 2022.
