In a leaked phone conversation that has taken social media by storm, Uganda socialite Zari Hassan is heard urging her husband, Shakib Lutaya, against visiting her in South Africa.
The candid 16-minute dialogue reveals the friction brewing in their relationship.
For starters, Zari and Shakib don’t stay together. He lives in Uganda while she is domiciled in South Africa but they often visit each other.
The leaked conversation between Zari and Shakib has gone viral after the two quarreled over Diamond Platnumz’s visit.
Shakib got angry at Zari for hosting her Tanzanian baby daddy without his knowledge.
In the phone call conversation, Shakib expresses his desire to travel to South Africa to see Zari but she refused.
“I was planning to move from Uganda, come to South Africa,” Shakib tells Zari in the call.
Zari’s response is blunt, “No, I’ll be so tired. I can’t stand you for a month.”
Taken aback, Shakib asks why, to which she simply replies, “Nah… it’s just too much. I am busy. Like, I’m busy. I am doing a lot of adverts, I’m traveling. There’s kids, there’s running a business.”

This revelation comes on the heels of Zari’s recent public admonishment of Shakib, where she downplayed his importance in her life, advising him to be cautious in their relationship.
Zari took to her platforms to vent her frustrations after Shakib expressed his discontent over her hosting Diamond Platnumz, the father of her two children – Princess Tiffah and Nillan.
Diamond had made the trip to South Africa to celebrate their daughter Tifah’s birthday, a move that did not sit well with Shakib.
In a defiant online tirade, Zari made it clear that she will not lose anything if she breaks up with Shakib, asserting her independence with a powerful statement.
“No one is going to wake up and say that I’m being kicked out of my house because of something I said… The Brabus I drive is mine; I also drive a Maybach and own a Range Rover. They all belong to me,” she stated emphatically.
Zari noted that Shakib’s overreactions stemmed from seeing Diamond at the party, leading him to question her fidelity and insinuate that she still harbors feelings for her ex.
Furthermore, Zari elaborated on her financial independence, revealing that Diamond, who shares two children with her, regularly sends her money for their upkeep.
She challenged Shakib by asking what he contributes to justify her ongoing need to prove herself within their relationship.
Zari further warned Shakib to get over his insecurities or she would dump him.
“If my guy doesn’t want to recognize who I am… shame. I will definitely find someone who is going to recognize my worth because I am worth so much more,” Zari said.
