Yvette Obura Hits Back At Critics Over Daughter Mueni’s Fashion Choices

Yvette Obura, known to her followers as Mama Mueni, has delivered a powerful rebuttal to the online trolls scrutinizing her daughter’s wardrobe.

The brand influencer and aspiring entrepreneur has been the target of criticism for dressing her 9-year-old daughter in oversized clothing, predominantly t-shirts and hoodies, leading her to defend her style choices passionately.

Taking to social media, Yvette directly confronted her detractors, asserting her authority as a parent.

“If your child can wear miniskirts and crop tops, good for you. I have parented this child for 9 years, and I know what’s best for her unlike your favorites,” she declared forcefully, making it clear that her daughter’s well-being is her top priority.

In her spirited response, Yvette elaborated on her parenting philosophy, explaining that she and Mueni have open discussions regarding acceptable attire.

“Sivalishangi mtoto wangu crop top and she knows any revealing cloth mtoto wangu havai at this age. I don’t want to bring up my child thinking it’s okay to underdress,” she insisted, highlighting her commitment to instilling values in her daughter.

Yvette’s determination to shield Mueni from negative influences was further demonstrated as she vowed not to remain silent in the face of online criticism.

“Sitanyamaza mkiingilia mtoto wangu I’ll tell you straight up. Mkitaka mniite vile mataka lakini mtoto wangu hamtatukana social media,” she affirmed, emphasizing her resolve to protect her child from harmful comments.

The proud mother shares Mueni with renowned musician and YouTube personality Bahati, who is currently married to digital content creator Diana Marua.

Despite the challenges of co-parenting within a blended family, Yvette has expressed nothing but positivity regarding her relationship with Diana.

In a past interview, she praised her, revealing that Diana frequently updates Mueni’s wardrobe.

“Co-parenting is amazing… Diana Bahati is such an amazing mum and I’m giving her her flowers,” Yvette remarked, showcasing the collaborative spirit in raising Mueni.

Through her candid social media posts and public statements, Yvette Obura remains unapologetic about her parenting choices, reaffirming her dedication to her daughter’s well-being while standing firm against criticism.
