Kirinyaga woman rep Wangui Ngirici has given William Ruto’s Bottoms Up economic model a completely new definition.
According to Wangui Ngirici, bottoms up is all about giving more resources to those at the grassroots in a bid to generate revenue.
“Our economic model of BOTTOM UP would properly fit into our country’s financial situation by ensuring that we put more money at the grassroots while we generate more revenue locally. This model takes care of the ballooning National debt that is almost hitting the ceiling.” Wangui Ngirici.
The woman rep spoke at Karen where they paid a courtesy call to deputy president William Ruto at his Karen home.
On his side, DP Ruto defined the bottoms up as an inclusive economic model aimed at sustaining millions of lives.
“Small and medium-sized enterprises are at the core of our drive to jumpstart Kenya’s economy under our bottom-up model as they sustain millions of livelihoods. This broad, inclusive and bold push will extend financial support and render a conducive investment climate that does not criminalise enterprises.” He wrote.
“In the company of MPs James Gakuya, Millicent Omanga, Benjamin Gathiru, George Theuri and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, met small scale traders from Embakasi North, Embakasi Central, Embakasi South and Starehe Constituencies at the Karen Residence, Nairobi County.” Added the DP.
