Uganda’s Police Boss Calls On Shakib To Sue His Estranged Wife Zari Hassan

In an escalating conflict between businessman Shakib Lutaaya Cham and his wife, Zari Hassan, legal advice has emerged suggesting he consider taking action against the prominent entrepreneur.

Senior police officer Jackson Mucunguzi has intervened, advising Shakib to open a case against Zari, citing allegations of abuse stemming from their troubled relationship.

Mucunguzi articulated his recommendation, stating that if Shakib recognizes his rights, he should file a case regarding the economic and psychological domestic violence he claims to have experienced.

This comes after Zari, a mother of five, asserted that Shakib was not making any financial contributions to their marriage, escalating tensions between the couple.

“If my brother Shakib as an adult gathers confidence and knows his rights, the case of economic and psychological domestic violence can be registered at @PoliceUg Child & Family Protection Dept and successfully be heard in the Justice system of Uganda,” Mucunguzi tweeted, emphasizing the relevance of legal recourse in their situation.

The couple’s discord intensified when Zari invited her ex-partner, Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, to South Africa to celebrate their daughter Latifah Dangote’s birthday.

This gesture reportedly affected Shakib’s mental health, prompting him to express feelings of shame in a voice message.

In response to the mounting tensions, Zari maintained that she did not invite Diamond to South Africa, dismissing claims that her actions were directed at Shakib.

She also reminded him that the singer no longer poses a threat to their relationship, as they have long since moved on from each other.

Furthermore, Zari conveyed to Shakib that she cannot dictate the terms of their relationship, stating that her contributions are modest.

As the public watches this situation unfold, the dynamics between the couple have sparked discussions around relationships, emotional wellbeing, and the roles of partners in a marriage.
