Reverend Lucy Wangunjiri Explains Why She Will Not Attend Burial Of Controversial Preacher Godfrey Migwi

William Ruto allied city pastor Godfrey Migwi known for fierce criticisms of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga is set to be buried on December 11th.

The controversial preacher died on Thursday morning December 2nd. Migwi succumbed to High Blood Pressure (HBP) – a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high.

High blood pressure forces the heart to work harder to pump blood to the rest of the body. This causes part of the heart (left ventricle) to thicken. A thickened left ventricle increases your risk of heart attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac death.

Kameme FM presenter Reverend Lucy Wangunjiri has revealed that she will not attend Migwi’s burial. The late preacher is set to be laid to rest on Saturday, December 11, at his rural home in Kamune, Mathioya in Murang’a county.

Speaking during his “Itaha Ria Muoyo” show on Sunday, Wangunjiri explained that she will skip Migwi’s burial because she will be officiating a wedding of members of her Prayers Beyond Boundaries (PBP) church.

The veteran radio presenter, however, noted she will be present during Migwi’s memorial service set for Thursday at his Kayole church in Nairobi.

Migwi was once a presenter at Kameme FM and used to host ‘Kwenjera Uma Wa Mandiko (analyzing the truth of the word) show every Wednesday night.

The late preacher claimed he was sacked from Kameme FM in 2019 after he started criticizing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee administration.

Migwi was an ardent supporter of deputy president William Ruto and had declared interest in Mathioya MP seat come next year’s general election.

Reverend Wangunjiri eulogized the late Migwi as a dedicated servant of God with a kind heart, and who was always willing to help all those who reached him for support.
