Raila Opposes Uhuru's Idea Of Appealing BBI At Supreme Court

Former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga on Friday morning said that there was no need to take the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) appeal to the Supreme court.

According to Raila, him together with Uhuru agreed with the Court of Appeal decision which which saw the seven judges throw out the BBI after the high court dismissed it as illegal.

“President Kenyatta & I respect the court ruling & we would not like to take the case forward to the supreme court but anyone else is free to do so. When the time is right we will come back to it.” Said Raila.

Raila’s sentiments came just a day after attorney general who is the chief advisor to President (government) said that they will be moving to the supreme court to challenge the ruling by the two lower courts.
