Least Educated Kenyan Politicians

The academic qualification has been a matter of contestation among the Kenya politicians. This comes after the electoral commission, IEBC, now wanting politicians to acquire university degrees to vie for various political seats.

If the IEBC succeeds with the push for all politicians to have higher education academic papers, then a good number of politicians might be left out of the 2022 election contestation. Some of those politicians who reportedly have no university degrees include;

Oscar Sudi

Though the Kapsatet MP claims that he holds a diploma in Business Management, there is no indication that the legislature even holds a Form Four certificate, according to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.

According to EACC, the vocal legislature holds fake KCSE and Diploma certificates.

Johnson Muthama

It is in the public domain that the former Machakos Senator, Johnson Muthama is a primary school dropout. He doesn’t even hold a KCPE certificate.

Ferdinand Waititu

There is a lot of questions surrounding the academic papers of the former Kiambu governor. Though he claims that he holds a degree from Punjab University, an Indian University, there is no proof that he holds any academic papers from higher education.

Hassan Joho

Governor Ali Hassan Joho is another politician whose academic qualification has been put in question. The governor who score a D plain in the KCSE exam, claims that he acquired a degree from Kampala University. Doubters have, however, raised questions of the credibility of the said degree as the university remains reluctant to support Joho’s claims.
