Karen Nyamu insists that Edday Nderitu, the legal wife to her baby daddy and Mugithi singer Samidoh did not leave because of her. “If it was about me angewacha mzee 5 years ago,” she argues.
Karen Nyamu has found herself at the epicenter of a media storm, primarily due to her love affair with her baby daddy, Samidoh Muchoki who was already married and with a family. This saga has not only caused ripples in the lives of the individuals involved but has also triggered a wave of condemnation from netizens.
Eddy Nderitu’s decision to leave Kenya and relocate to the United States was fueled by her stand against raising her children in a polygamous marriage, especially one in which she felt her presence was disrespected by Karen Nyamu. She further took the step of transferring her children to schools in the USA.
Since then, Kenyans have been quick to point fingers at Karen Nyamu, accusing her of being the force that ultimately led to the breakdown of Samidoh and Eddy’s marriage.
A concerned fan took to social media to voice her grievances about Karen Nyamu’s involvement in ending Edday Nderitu’s marriage. She expressed her disappointment, explaining that she had once been an admirer of Nyamu but had since changed her perspective upon witnessing the other side of the story.
The fan firmly articulated that when one enters into a relationship with someone else’s spouse, they should be mindful not to encroach upon the territory of the first wife, and they should consider the welfare of the first wife’s children as well.
She urged Karen Nyamu to respect boundaries and acknowledge that Eddy Nderitu, like anyone else, has feelings.
Karen Nyamu, not one to shy away from controversy, responded to the fan’s comments. She questioned whether Eddy Nderitu was unaware of the seriousness of her relationship with Samidoh, especially considering that they share two children together.
Nyamu also tells Kenyans to stop blaming her for Eddy’s decision to relocate to the USA. She claims that if Eddy had left Samidoh solely because of her, she would have done so five years ago when she first crossed paths with him.
“Kwani nikizaa twice haikua serious. Mtu akitamani kuishi America pia mnanilaumu? If it was about me angewacha mzee 5 years ago,” says Karen. She believes Edday always had a life long dream to live in America.
