“I Am Lucky To Be Alive” Jamal Thanks Passers-by Who Saved Him After Floods Carried Away His Car

Former KTN Presenter Jamal Gaddafi made the mistake of driving on a flooded road and he nearly paid the price with his own life.

Jamal’s car was carried away by flood waters as he drove through Westlands.

The media personality took to social media to show how his car was swept away on First Parklands Road.

He shared a series of video clips alongside his post, showing his vehicle partially submerged in the floodwaters.

“Alhamdullilah. I narrowly escaped death this morning along First parklands avenue when my car was swept away by floods. I am lucky that a group of well wishers quickly came to rescue me. I urge Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja to work on the drainage systems in Nairobi,” Jamal wrote.

Gaddafi revealed that he was leaving the hospital when the accident occurred.

Nairobi and several parts of the country have experienced heavy rains in the past weeks.

This weekend, parts of Thika Road, Westlands, Lang’ata and Garden Estate were also affected by the rains that caused flooding.

As of April 18, the devastating floods and heavy rainfall have resulted in at least 32 deaths, 15 injuries, and two individuals reported missing.

Over 103,485 people have been affected, with 40,265 individuals displaced across 21 out of the country’s 47 counties.
