In a significant government shake-up, President William Ruto has reshuffled several Principal Secretaries (PSs) and nominated 14 new ones in a bid to strengthen the administration’s service delivery and economic agenda.
Ruto emphasized that the changes are aimed at tapping into emerging sectors of the economy while addressing challenges facing the country’s social structure.
“His excellency has today instituted changes to the Organization of Government. The Presidential Action, serialized as Executive Order No. 1 of 2025, causes nominations to and re-assignments of State Departments, as well as postings to the nation’s foreign service,” read part of the official statement released by State House.
The statement further underscored the administration’s commitment to accelerating the implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
