King Kaka went public about his condition sometimes last year when he shared his photos looking so emaciated he could hardly stand.
The rapper came out in September 2021 after a long period of absence from showbiz to announce that he had been ill for three months.
In a post on social media, the ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ singer asked his fans to always pray for good health.
He added that it has not been easy to be in and out of hospital.
“Hospitali ceilings are really boring, always pray for good health,” King Kaka wrote.
He said he had been sick for more than three months after he was misdiagnosed.
“I was misdiagnosed. Lost 33kgs and in the process, we started hospital visits. Did all the tests and they were negative. Funny thing is I feel no pain and we are still hopeful we will get the solution soon,” King Kaka shared.
The rapper said that doctors managed to narrow down his condition to HLH, sepsis, or blood infection and was given medication around that diagnosis.
“We did all sorts of tests still and almost settled on a condition called HLH and around sepsis and blood infection that makes you lose appetite and all sorts of things.”
Even though King Kaka fought hard to get better and be reunited with his family, he admitted to having thought about death and if he would succumb to his ailment.
”As much as I am a fighter, there is a feeling that even if you try to fight, you can’t avoid it. I tried do much to fight it, like the first two days I thought let me fight it but on that third day that I started hallucinating I think it was a mixture of so many things and death was among them,” he said.
Fast forward to January 28th 2022, King Kaka confessed that doctors had given him 30 days to live.
“Xray showing niko na cavity kwa my 2 lungs Bado
Walinipa 30days niishi that was 4 months ago,” wrote King Kaka.
