Cleophas Malala Reportedly Working With DP Ruto

Sources now claim that Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala may be secretly dining with the deputy president William Samoei Ruto.

Many people have been left guessing after the senator’s PA died in a grisly road accident after he attended the Western economic block by DP Ruto which was held in Naivasha.

Those familiar with the happenings claim that Cleo Malala was aware of the same since he attended it with his direct permission.

Besides, Ruto is said to be sidelining the former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale in favor of Cleophas Malala.

Apparently, Weekly citizen reports that Boni Khalwale is nursing heartbreaks of being denied funds by Ruto camp and has resorted to accompany UDA leader Johnson Muthama to attend burials in Ukambani as opposed to his own Kakamega backyard.

As a result, Khalwale is said to be keen on joining billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi who is equally eyeing the presidency on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.

Cleophas Malala is said to be a great friend of DP Ruto and was recently seen leaving his home at night which raised more questions than answers.

According to insiders, this friendship dates back to 2016 when the controversial former Permanent secretary Rashid Echesa introduced him to DP Ruto when the senator was just a member of the county assembly (MCA) for Mahiakalo ward.

Further, the second in command posted his photo and that of Kachu on his Twitter account at the conference as he described him as an amiable, industries and brilliant man.

The DP is further said to be reaching out to Malala because the leaders who were to facilitate the travels to Naivasha disappeared with the money issued by the DP into thin air. The senator is perceived to be honest hence the sudden interest by the second in command.
