As Kenya draws towards the electioneering period, both various candidates and voters have started associating themselves with various political parties across the political divide.
Kenyans including celebrities have started associating with various political parties. In the process, various celebrities declared their support for Deputy President William Ruto and his party United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
These celebrities have either declared their support for the country’s second in command or registered for membership with UDA. Those celebrities include;
Omosh
Former Tahidi High actor Joseph Kinuthia is the latest celebrity to join DP Ruto’s camp after opting to join UDA party.
On Friday, Sep 10, made headlines after news emerged that he has registered as UDA member and is hoping to vie for a political seat in Nairobi under the party’s ticket.
Omosh also expressed his desire to support DP Ruto and his bottom up economic model.
Anto Neosoul
The media personality is one of the who endorsed DP Ruto and his “wheelbarrow narrative”.
Anto was first associate with DP Ruto after visiting Ruto at his Karen residence and endorsed his political agenda to the youths. In a video that went viral on social media months ago, Anto was seen riding DP Ruto on a wheelbarrow.
OJ
Denis Mugo is another Tahidi High actor who have declared his support for the Deputy President and his party.
Same as Omosh, OJ registered as a member of the UDA party and also declared to vie for a Member of County Assembly seat in Embu county under the political party.
Kevin Bahati
Singer Kevin has always been a Ruto’s supporter back since 2013 when he supported him and President Uhuru when they were vying for their first term in the office.
Last year, the Barua hitmaker revealed that just like he supported Ruto in 2013 and 2017, he will back him come 2022.
“I had made over 500 stops in 2017 general election drumming support for the president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, I will still do the same in 2022 to help deputy president Ruto win the top seat” said Bahati.
Oga Obinna
When TV host Anto was making his declaration to support team hustler, comedian and radio presenter Oga Obinna was also present with him. Same as Anto, Obinna declared that he will support Ruto in his agenda to help improve the lives of youths.
