Blessing Lung’aho recently opened up about his acting career as well as his personal life, including his failed relationship with Jackie Matubia.
The actor spoke about his journey in the entertainment industry, from his early days as an accounting student to his current role as a leading actor in the Showmax original series “Untying Kantai”.
“I didn’t expect to continue acting into adulthood, but here I am, 14 years later,” Lung’aho said in an interview with a local news outlet.
“The industry is growing, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to play different characters and grow as an artist.”
When asked about the toll acting takes on him, Lung’aho revealed that each role has unique challenges.
“De-rolling for me means watching films,” he said. “I sit in my house for days watching other actors, and that helps me get away from the characters.”
Lung’aho also spoke about his personal life, including his relationship with fellow actress Jackie Matubia and their daughter.
While he declined to comment on the allegations made by Jackie about their split, he emphasized the importance of having a supportive circle of friends who protect him from negative comments.
“I don’t know anything bad about social media because it has opened doors for people like me to put my craft out there,” he said.
In terms of dealing with social media pressure, Lung’aho revealed that he stays offline for periods. “Trouble doesn’t find me when I’m offline,” he said.
“I understand that being a public figure has its challenges, but I deal with it by disconnecting.”
