The mother of five knows what she’s talking about when it comes to children and women’s rights.
Recently, Akothee has been celebrating different cultures and their traditional outfits.
“Allow children to be children, girls to be girls and allow women to be women,” she says.
Humanity and human rights should be protected insists the self proclaimed president of single mothers.

Additionally, she says we need to all agree in one voice, support in your own way.
Finally, the Sweet Love hit singer adds, it’s important to eduacate the whole society about these rights.

FGM is still unfortunately being practiced among some Kenyan communities, although in privacy normally.
As social education continues, things can only get better over time, as calls to end FGM take shape across the country.
