Cheating is one of the most common reasons why most marriages are falling apart in the current generation.
In as much as cheating is believed to be wrong, it still happens much often.
There are three basic reasons as to why human being usually get involved in extra marital affairs. One, Human beings are not monogamous naturally, secondly, cheating in our genes and finally, our brain systems makes us do so.
Cheating is not for a particular class as it happens among different kinds of people including presidents and leaders.
Here is a list of African presidents and leaders whose wives cheated on them.
Nelson Mandela
Mandela was South African politician who is known to have fought Apartheid. He was the first South African president to be elected in a democratic election. He served as president from 1994-1999.
His wife Winnie Madikizela Mandela reportedly cheated on him with her deputy in the social welfare department of African National Congress (ANC), Dali Mpofu.
It is alleged that that was one of the reasons that led to her divorce that was widely publicized.
Mandela said that his wife was seeking divorce and also accused her of cheating on him with a younger colleague
Robert Mugabe
The late Robert Mugabe served as the president of Zimbabwe from 1987 until he was overthrown in 2017.
His wife Grace Mugabe is said to have had a secret affair with a Zimbabwean Reserve Bank Governor Gideon Gono. Gono was a close friend of Mugabe.
Aside from Gono, Grace is said to have had an affair with Peter Pamire who died in a mysterious road accident.
James Makamba was exiled after his affair with Grace became public.
Jacob Zuma
Jacob Zuma served as the 4th president of South Africa.
Regarding the cheating matter, Zuma was cheated on by his second wife Nompumelelo Ntuli Zuma.
It is alleged that Ntuli was entangled in an affair with her body guard, Phinda Thomo in 2010.
Thomo was later found dead in his apartment under unclear circumstances.
Fredrick Chiluba
Chiluba was the second president of Zambia. He served from 1991- 2002.
He was cheated on by his wife Vera Chiluba who served as the First lady from 1991 until she separated with Chiluba.
President Chiluba is said to have ordered his wife out of their presidential home for having an affair with a famous businessman identified as Mactribouy Archie.
She reportedly suffered from stroke early January.
King Mswati III
He is a Swazi ruler since the age of 18.
He was cheated on by his 12th wife Nothando Dube.
It is alleged that Nothando was involved in an affair with Ndumiso Mamba, Swazi’s minister of justice.
Nothando was involved in a sex scandal in 2011after the news circulated around the world after being captured with Mamba.
She however died in March 2019 after a rather sad life since she was married to the King at age of 16.
