“Najiskia vibaya sana,” Wema Sepetu said after her lavish birthday party ended terribly.
This is because her mother embarrassed her before her friends, family and the media who had joined her to mark her special day after a long break of 6 years.
Wema’s mother claimed that she has no lesos, despite the fact that she has been buying them for her.
“Watoto wa kike naomba mheshimu wazazi wenu. Mzazi anapokuambia neno karibu kukaa chini ukamsikiliza. Nyinyi mumemtuza pesa lakini mimi nimemtuza kanga. Nilikuja hapa kwake nikaomba kanga akanipa mtandio.
“Nimemnunulia kanga chungu nzima sijui zinakwenda wapi. Leo nimerudia tena na bado nitamletea tena ili ajue heshima ya mtoto wa kike ni kanga si manguo yenu hayo, she explained.
She didn’t stop there as she went ahead to touch on what hurt the most. She confronted Wema for living together with her fiance Whozu without her parents’ approval. According to her Whozu had not been introduced to her.
“Njoo umueleze mama yako nina mchumba. Simuzuii mwanangu, heshima nataka itawale. Nataka mturespect tukiwa wazazi,” the pained mother said in a video that has since gone viral.
Recounting the intense moment, Wema has said she would never ever host a bash to celebrate her birthday.
“Nia na madhumuni yangu ilikuwa ni kutaka kusherehekea siku yangu ya kuzaliwa na kuenjoy na wapenzi wangu ila haikuwa nilivyotarajia. Lengo langu halikutimia.
“Nimejitahidi kufanya kizuri ambacho kingenifurahisha sana siku ya birthday yangu ila haijakuwa. Najiskia vibaya sana, ” she shared on Instagram.
Wema referred to the celebration as the worst of them all that she had ever had
“This is the worst birthday party of my life. Sitakuja tena kufanya birthday kwa maisha yangu. Naumia moyoni mwangu ila kila kitu kinatokea na sababu. Ndio maana acha niseme tu alhamudullilah,” the actress stated.
Her fans comforted her with some saying that her mother’s remarks were in her best interest.
Others however disagreed saying that Wema’s mother had crossed the line as she would have talked with her about the matter in private.
“Kwangu mimi mama Wema ame exaggerate things. Hizo vitu angemuambia in private kama mtoto wake ila si kungoja siku ya birthday kumdhalilisha kwa umati,” an Instagram user stated.
“Sio kila mzazi huwa right plus money can never,” she added.
