Why Radio Girl Deyannar Kimani Charges Men Ksh10K For Her Phone Number

NRG Radio presenter Deyannar Kimani has sparked mixed reactions online after revealing that she charges Kshs10,000 to give out her phone number.

In an interview with K24, the radio presenter explained that the reason behind her decision is to put men to a stop because telling them she is in a relationship or giving them other excuses is not enough to make them stop pursuing her.

“Right now, telling a man you already have a boyfriend won’t work. Telling them you are not in the suitable headspace to date won’t work. But when you tell them you want my number, and I ask for money, some men won’t accept it. The ones who really want it will pay, and some will pay,” she said.

The interviewer was left wondering if she would feel obligated to talk to the men who actually pay the amount of money.

“Yes, because I have been paid for my time. I might go for lunch but you have to pay for that time because I am just not a free good,” Deyannar responded.

Netizens have however told her off saying that she would end up single if she continues with the behaviour.

“Who, in this era, still pleads for phone numbers? Keep your phone number. I don’t think anyone needs it that bad.” one said as another wrote, ” You will remain single forever.
