20 Year Old TikTok Star Brian Chira Shocked To Find Out He Was HIV Positive

Brian Chira says, “My mum and my late aunt were HIV positive,but my family did not know I was positive as well.”

The young star reveals he was utterly shocked. A friend tricked him into get a test done.

“I found out I had HIV after a friend of mine lied to me that he was taking me out for lunch.There was an organization that would give lunch to people who brought others to get tested for HIV.”

“That was the lowest moment of my life. I was very shocked I ended up breaking down in the hospital. I did three tests and all of them turned positive,” Brian says.

He further adds that his family did not know about his health status, but he had lost his mother and aunt to the disease.

“My mum and my late aunt were HIV positive,but my family did not know I was positive as well.I took it as my personal battle,” he says.

Brian is taking care of his cousin even at a young age after their mother passed on. If he knew better, he would have protected himself.

“I feel that it could have been prevented if the medics gave me the right directives on how to take PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) means taking medicine to prevent HIV after a possible exposure. Some times I would skip days before taking the drugs,” he narrated.
