After finishing her KCSE exams, Beatrice Gatwiri left her home right away to live in with her boyfriend.
18-year-old Beatrice Gatwiri, who had left her home on December 24, 2022, was discovered dead at Rwerea Hills in Tigania Central, Meru County, with her head decapitated.
After finishing her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, Beatrice, who was living with her grandmother, is reported to have left home right away to move in with her boyfriend, Allan Kirimi.
She left her boyfriend’s house after a few days, as stated in a police report, but on January 13 this year, her butchered, semi naked body was found in the Rwerea hills, raising questions about what might have happened.
The boyfriend and another man who spotted the body in the forest were both apprehended, according to Tigania Central Sub-County Police Commander Joel Chepkwony, who also noted that they haven’t yet located the head.
The two are currently being held in accordance with the law and assisting with investigations, according to the police chief.
A member of the family reveals, the deceased’s grandma has rejected to bury her body without the head; because she fears the trauma could cause her to leave this world sooner as well.
