Avril disappeared from social media after her baby daddy J Blessing beat her like a pig that wandered into a mosque.
The mother of one recently took to social media to reflect on the beatings she endured, noting that she had recovered from the trauma.
Avril, however, stated that it took her a long time to recover and added that she does not tolerate toxic people in her life after what she went through in J Blessing’s hands.
“If you knew how tough it was, and how long it took some of us to recover their mental health and happiness again, you’d understand why they shut doors at the slightest sniff of toxicity, and also why they’re picky af about who they allow in their lives” Avril wrote.2
In November 2023, Avril made damning assault accusations against J Blessing when she appeared with a swollen face in posts she shared on social media.
She however came out moments later saying that she had forgiven her baby daddy for what he did.
J Blessing took responsibility for the incident, clarifying that one of the images posted by Avril was from a previous altercation nearly a year ago.
He expressed remorse for the harm caused and explained that he promptly took Avril to Aga Khan Hospital for treatment.
“I sincerely apologize for any harm I have caused Avril or any other person. I am not innocent, but I would like to clarify a few things. About a year ago, we had a physical altercation where we both got hurt, and on that day, I immediately took her to the hospital at Aga Khan. I take full responsibility for that moment of weakness. One of the pictures she posted is from that incident,” he explained in his statement.
