Ronaldo leads Forbes top 10 list of highest paid sportsmen ahead of Messi and Mbappé.
Cristiano Ronaldo was named as the highest-paid sportsman on the planet following his switch to Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo swapped Manchester United for Al-Nassr in January 2023 following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.
The Portuguese megastar is reported to be on Ksh29.7 billion per year salary with his new outfit, enough to see him top the table.
According to Forbes, Ronaldo has now raked in $136million/Ksh18.5 billion over the past 12 months – topping their rich list for a third time.
Ronaldo’s eye-watering income is also the most the list has ever seen, with the majority of his income coming from brand deals off the pitch. He has a total net worth of around Ksh68 billion.
Interestingly, it’s footballers that round out the top three with PSG duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe finishing second and third.
Messi has reportedly taken home an eye-watering $130million (Ksh17.6 billion) over the past 12 months. While Mbappe has taken home $120million (Ksh16.3 billion), amazingly, Mbappe has the highest on-field earnings of the trio.
