Singer Willy Paul is set to drop his much awaited album, Beyond Gifted, on Tuesday. The album features foreign artists and there is no collaboration with any Kenyan artist.
Some of the big names in the album include Jamaican singer Denique, Nandy, Maud Elka, Iyanya, Jzyno, Marioo, Alaine, Wendy Shayo, Guchi and Tommy Lee.
Following concerns about him ignoring Kenyan artists in the new album, Willy Paul has explained the reason behind his decision.
“I see people complaining, asking why my album has no Kenyan act. Kwani mmesahau vile Kenya kuwa na roho mbaya ni most affordable thing?” he said on Insta stories.
Ahead of the release of the Album, Denique praised Willy Paul, referring to him as an incredible human being.
“I want to talk a little bit about Willy Paul. Willy is such an incredible human being he is a great artist, a great song writer, a great human being. I likie working with him. When he reached out and wanted to do a collaboration with me I was over the moon, Kenya has a special place in my heart, I love Kenya. I have been there once and I can’t wait to come back again and working with was just definitely something tha I was looking forward to, thanks so much Will,” she said.
