Actress Njeri Gachomba popularly known as Njambi struggled to earn a living for two years after The Real Househelps of Kawangware (TRHK) show was axed.
Njambi opened up about her woes now that the popular TV drama series is back after a two-year break.
Speaking to Word Is, Njambi said TRHK’s two-year hiatus made her realise that the acting industry is tough.
She revealed that she did not land any acting gig since TRHK went on a break.
“I have unsuccessfully been looking for acting gigs. But am grateful for the shows I got. I’ve also learnt that being rejected is okay. I used to hate going to auditions because I am afraid of rejection and how I used to feel after auditions,” she said.
“This industry needs a whole lot of patience and resilience and patience,” she added.
TRHK follows the lives of domestic workers and their friends as they navigate the ups and downs of life in Kawangware.
The show ended abruptly, leaving fans with so many unanswered questions.
