Bahati and Diana Marua have been living together since 2017 but they are not yet quite married.
Diana and Bahati met in July 2016 when he was shooting a music video for his song ‘Mapenzi’.
The two then got ‘married’ in a low-key traditional ceremony held on October 20th 2017.
This year, the couple celebrated their 7th anniversary on October 20th.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Bahati promised to marry Diana in a white wedding which was originally slated for December 12, 2023.
However, the wedding was never to be and now Diana has publicly expressed her yearning to get married.
In her recent post, she shared photos of herself and Bahati as she expressed her longing to get married in a white wedding.
“I can’t wait for the day I’ll say yes I do to my best friend. I Love You Baby ❤️ 2024 is gonna be #THEBAHATIS year 💍💃🏻,” Diana Marua wrote.
In October 2023, Bahati paid Diana’s dowry in a colourful ruracio ceremony, promising to marry her in December.
The secret traditional dowry payment ceremony ‘ruracio’ was held at an undisclosed location.
Milly Chebby and her husband Terence Creative were among the celebs who attended the ruracio.
Diana Marua and Bahati were to get married on December 12, 2023 following the ruracio.
However, the planned white wedding was postponed indefinitely.
