Samidoh’s baby mama took to social media to address the rumors, going live to set the record straight. The mother of three confidently expressed her indifference towards people’s opinions about her.
Responding to the viral photo of her wearing a khaki uniform and a cap, which sparked speculations that she was concealing a black eye, Nyamu clarified the situation, saying, “I had the picture taken in Nyeri during a scouts and girl guides function… People are mocking gender-based violence, especially those who dislike me.”
Karen Nyamu called out women who exploit the topic of gender-based violence as a means to settle personal scores with her. She emphasized that gender-based violence is a grave issue that affects numerous women in Kenya and Africa as a whole.
Karen made it clear that she would not stay silent if she ever experienced any form of violence, stating, “You know I cannot remain silent…”
The nominated senator expressed her astonishment upon discovering the claims in the comments section.
When she confronted the person accused of assaulting her, they advised her to ignore the rumors on social media, much like other matters. Karen firmly stated that she cannot brush aside the issue of gender-based violence.
She denied being a victim of assault and revealed that she was actually in Naivasha, attending a Mugithi event where her baby daddy, Samidoh, was performing.
“I was present at the Mugithi night yesterday, and those who attended can attest to that. There was no violence; it was an enjoyable time,” she stated.
Continuing her statement, she emphasized, “I have not been punched, and if I were, I would be here crying and causing a scene because I cannot hide bruises. I would never stay silent about something like that.”
