Radio Citizen’s brand manager Jeridah Andayi is married and has three children, two girls and one boy who is the eldest.
While all her children are known to the public, Jeridah has never introduced her husband in the digital space.
She explained why she has kept her marriage private while responding to questions from her fans through a YouTube video.
“We live in the era of the internet, digitization, brand, and brand identity I feel like my children are part of my brand and identity. So that’s why sometimes I put them there. Sometimes it is not all that good, but having my children in the limelight was my conscious decision just the same way I chose not to involve their father in the mix.
“And I know the next question you are going to ask is why is their father not there in the limelight? Because that is also a conscious decision I made,” she emphasized.
Jeridah said that she has received her own share of criticism for exposing her children. She however said that she made the choice and she is fine with it.
“I don’t know if I would have it any other way. I have had people come to me and lecture me on why I expose my children to the limelight. Why am I raising my children in front of the camera? They tell me it is not right, and I respect their opinion. However, I would appreciate it if they understood I am not raising my kids with a script but in my own way. If you feel as a parent you do not want your kids to be in the limelight, then that is okay,” she said.
