Years back, Kenya had very few female MPs and politicians. This is because Politics was mostly been associated with men.
Over the years, the narrative is changing and women, who have even been considered weak and beautiful, have also taken up the challenge.
The number of hot women who joined politics in 2022 increased by a great percentage. It is even safe to say that some of them were voted into nominative and elective seats by there male admirers.
Here is however a list of female Mps/senators who are giving men sleepless nights because of their good looks.
Sabina Chege
Sabina Chege was an actress and radio presenter before she joined politics. She won the Murang’a county Women rep seat in 2013. She held the position till August 2022 when she did not vie for any political seat to fully support ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Currently, Chege is serving as a nominated MP for Jubilee.
She is married to former Kenya Dairy Board Chair Maina Gaitho and they have a child together.
Sabina however has two children from her marriage with Amos Kimunya.
Tabitha Mutinda Munene
Mutinda is another politician blessed with good looks that men can not tire looking at.
The pharmacist turned politician was nominated deputy governor position in last year’s general elections but he candidate’s ambitions were unsuccessful. She luckily landed a nomination in the senate.
In March this year, she admitted that men do comment on her good looks.
“I appreciate it when men commend my beauty and I tell them that is God’s creation. It is not my husband’s duty to dismiss men approaching me, it is mine. I have always been very open about my marital status so I have not had any difficulties,” she said.
She has been married for 10 years and has one daughter with her husband.
Gloria Orwoba
The 45-year old was nominated to the senate in 2022 and one of her dramatic moments in the House was when she showed up with a blood stained white suit. Apparently, she was on her periods.
According to her, she was aware her trouser was stained. She decided to walk to the senate like that because of her advocacy against menstrual shame.
“Since I am always advocating against period shame, I thought I should go ahead and walk the talk,” she said.
Hezema Lemaletien
The beautiful senator refers to herself as the queen of the North. She was nominated to the senate under Orange Democratic Movement after the August 2022 general elections.
Hezema is known to be a go-getter, champion for gender equality and girl child as well as a humanitarian.
She graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2015. During 2022 elections campaigns a lot of men were drooling over her and some were willing to relocate to Samburu County, where she hails from, just to vote for her. She unsuccessfully vied for the Samburu Women Rep seat.
Hezema is however out there to prove that beautiful women with brains do exist.
“Stop the stereotypes that beautiful women are only meant for misuse. We also do reason and can think. We shall deconstruct those stereotypes,” she said in the past.
Karen Nyamu
The mother of three is currently serving as a nominated senator and she is among the most popular female politicians because of her relationship drama with Mugithi singer Samidoh.
Her love for drama has however not prevented men from thirsting over her because of her beauty and body structure.
One of the men was even bold enough to ask he posed with a placard admitting that Nyamu is giving him sleepless nights.
The man identified as Samuel Nyang’au wanted Nyamu to be his Valentines back in February this year.
Naisula Lesuuda
The 39-year old served as a journalist and she joined politics in 2017 to vie for an elective that is the Samburu West MP seat.
She was re-elected for a second time in the position in 2022.
She got married to her husband Robert Kiplagat in a colourful wedding in November 2018.
Esther Passaris
The 58-year old is the current woman rep for Nairobi county. Passaris is married to Kenyan businessman Pius Ngugi and together they have two children.
