The longstanding controversy surrounding the paternity of Hamisa Mobetto’s son Dylan has taken an interesting twist as Diamond has now been completely erased from the child’s life.
In a recent development, Hamisa Mobetto decided to change her son’s name to Dylan Mobetto from Dylan Abdul – distancing him from Diamond’s surname (Diamond’s real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma).
The decision to change Dylan’s name has fueled speculation about the state of Mobetto’s relationship with Diamond and the ongoing paternity row.
Tanzanian blogger Millard Ayo conducted a phone interview with Hamisa Mobetto’s mother Shufaa Lutigunga to gain insights into her daughter’s decision to change Dylan’s surname.
Lutigunga refused to delve into the nitty gritty of Dylan’s name change and instead directed the interviewer to seek Hamisa Mobetto herself and ask her the question.
“Hilo swali anatakiwa ajibu Hamisa… Sisi wakati tunawazaa hakukuwa na Insta jamani lakini nathani haya ni mambo ya kawaida tu jamani… AtWajibu kwa ufasaha kabisa. azungu wanasema time will tell,” she said.
Lutigunga emphasised that she would continue to support and defend her daughter regardless of public speculation.
Hamisa Mobetto and Diamond Platnumz have been locked in a paternity row for years. The Wasafi boss insists Dylan is not his biological son and refuses to play any fatherly duties to him.
