Singer Jovial is still holding on to her previous remarks that co-parenting is not an easy thing.
The Jeraha hitmaker noted that the experiences she had in co-parenting has made her afraid of having another child.
“It is tough. Mi hadi sahizi mtoto wa pili nimejishauri vibaya sana, I even want to call the elders waniambie,” she said.
Jovial’s first child will be turning 10 years old this coming December. The singer said that she always involves God in raising her daughter.
“Parenting has no formula, it is like life. You just wake up each day and ask God to lead the way. I always hand over my child to God because I might want to bring her up my way and it might not please God. So I always put God first, because this is your child just like I am,” she said.
Asked on how she balances music and parenting, Jovial said that she would prefer her to be her real self and not Jovial the artist. This is because of the pressure that comes with being a public figure. She however says that she finds joy and comfort in her child after long days, as she is the reason why she goes out to toil.
“I love music, my music is passion but when asked to choose, I would choose Juliet(her real name) not Jovial. If I can just sing and people just love my music without any pressure. I love being indoors, my space, watching movies with family. Family is everything just getting home after a long day, If I just see my child’s face it is my joy and comfort,” she said.
