The man behind the viral video that insinuated Willy Paul had neglected his mother despite his success has come out to explain why he decide to peddle the lies.
The musician and content creator identified as Zeddy Paul reached out to Nairobi Gossip Club to apologize about the viral video.
He said that Willy Paul is his idol but his various attempts to get his attention and work with him bore no fruits.
Zeddy further said that used the lies so as to reach the Yes I do hitmaker faster.
“Hey, I’m Zeddy paul the guy behind the trending video on willy paul’s mother house . I would love to apologize for what I did . willy has always been my idol. It has always been my dream to work with him since my high school days, I’ve done cover songs of his songs, tried reaching him through social media and his close links lakini haijai make. I decided to use this so I could reach him fast,” part of his message read.
He further said that it was not his intention to destroy Willy Paul but wished a quick recovery to his ailing mum.
“I never intended for this to happen, I respect every parent and you willy paul. Quick recovery to your mum. I’m really sorry and I hope you take my reason for consideration,” Zeddy said.
The content creator recorded the viral video in a deplorable home that Willy Paul’s mum was allegedly living in and went ahead to claim that he is related to the popular musician.
“What up guys, leo tunaongelea Willy Paul. Ni mtu anaishi Athi River. Amenunua Mercedes mbili. Willy Paul is my cousin. Jamaa ako na doh amebackside anatafuta madem huko so wacha tuingie had kwa kina Willy,” Zeddy said as he wailed.
Willy Paul however threatened to take action against him saying that the move to use his sick mum to chase clout hurt him deeply.
He added that Zeddy was ruining the brand that he had worked so hard for.
“Yaani my mother is very sick alafu some clout chaser anakuja kumtaja kwa uwongo? Basi angenitaja tu coz mimi watu wamezoea… why drag mamangu kwa upuzi?? Please anyone with information ya place uyu jamaa anaweza patikana akuje atusaidia hapa,” Willy Paul said.
