“Mwanaume kukuliwa nyuma ni makosa mbele ya Mungu!” A netizen told Chokuu.
In a world that is becoming increasingly diverse and accepting, the LGBTQ+ community has continued to gain visibility and rights, thanks in part to passionate activists like Chokuu.
But why does he love being queer and an LGBTQ activist? Chokuu’s candid response to netizens who have asked this question provides insight into the personal and societal factors that drive his dedication to the cause.
For Chokuu he promised to never come back after his extended family disowned him for being queer and open publicly about it. Via his TikTok account seen by Kenyareports.com, he also replied to all netizens who say, being gay is a sin.
He wants people to mind their own business if they’ve not lost any of their backsides and he’s not using them for pleasure.
Chokuu, a self-identified queer individual has had his share of struggles growing up. Like many others who belong to the LGBTQ+ community, his journey was marked by challenges related to self-acceptance and societal norms.
It was through these experiences that he discovered the power of love and self-acceptance, which eventually led him to become an LGBTQ activist.
A while back he said, “Being queer is about embracing who you are unapologetically!”
“It’s about accepting yourself and your truth, regardless of societal expectations. That’s a liberating and empowering experience.”
He believes that everyone should have the right to love whomever they choose and to be their authentic selves.
He says, “By advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, I’m helping to create a world where people can be who they are without fear of discrimination or prejudice. That’s a world I want to live in, and it’s worth fighting for.”
Chokuu explained that many LGBTQ+ individuals face discrimination, violence, and isolation, and he wants to be a source of support and empowerment.
“I’ve met so many incredible people in the LGBTQ+ community who inspire me every day,” he shares. “I want to be part of a movement that uplifts and supports these amazing individuals.”
Being an LGBTQ activist allows Chokuu to be a part of creating meaningful change in the world.
He argues, “When you’re an activist, you have the opportunity to work towards a more inclusive and accepting society. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the progress we’ve made and to know that I’ve played a part in that.”
