Sonko spent Ksh1 million at Liquor House along Kiambu Road to buy alcohol for retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kenyareports.com earlier reported that Uhuru celebrated his 62nd birthday on Thursday, 26 October 2023.
Sonko waited until Friday night to spoil the retired president with Ksh1 million worth of alcohol.
The former Nairobi governor arrived at Liquor House along Kiambu Road in a convoy of high-end vehicle where he shopped for the expensive alcoholic gifts for Uhuru.
Sonko also sang birthday song for the retired president.

Leaders from across the political divide wished the former president best wishes as he celebrated his birthday.
Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale cherished his friendship and political support he received from Uhuru during campaigns.
“Happy birthday to you! Hope you’re enjoying life in retirement. Although we went different ways during your presidency, I cherish our friendship,” he said on X.
DAP Kenya Party Leader Eugene L. Wamalwa, wished him a happy birthday and long life.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Kameme FM’s Muthoni wa Kirumba alias Baby Top, Uhuru expressed his joy as the presenter sang happy birthday for him.
“I’m grateful for the birthday love. My prayer is for God to continue keeping me healthy and ensuring our country remains peaceful,” he said.
Before concluding the interview, Muthoni asked Uhuru to request his song of choice to be played on the radio to celebrate his birthday and he did not shy away from his love for Reggae music.
He requested UB40’s ‘I Got You Babe’ song live on the radio.
“Which song by UB40 would you like me to play for you?” the presenter asked to which Uhuru responded by requesting the song ‘I Got You Babe’.
