Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre has made headlines once again after a recent sermon in which he chastised his congregants for giving him a small offering.
In a video that has since gone viral, Ng’ang’a expressed frustration, stating that the amount was not suitable for someone of his stature as a televangelist.
“I don’t play games. Saa hii ni nini? What’s this? Ya nani hii?” Ng’ang’a demanded after receiving the offering from a male usher.
He continued, “I am the commander,” making it clear that he expected larger donations from his church members.
The outspoken preacher went on to caution his followers, warning them not to present such small offerings in the future.
“Next time don’t come here when am here,” he warned, as he emptied the offering bucket on the altar to make his point.
In a separate sermon that also circulated online, Ng’ang’a issued a warning to women in his church regarding their choice of clothing. He criticized indecent dressing, claiming it made men uncomfortable during his sermons.
He went so far as to threaten that any woman who did not dress appropriately in church would be afflicted with leprosy if she continued to ignore his warnings.
