“This is only the beginning, the West will come for more” – Russian Embassy in Nairobi warned Kenya.
The Russian Embassy while reacting to the anger the Supreme Court ruling on LGBTQ caused issued a stern warning to Kenyan about how the country’s traditional values are in danger.
The embassy cautioned that if traditional values are not protected the whole of humanity will be doomed.
“That is only the beginning, the West will come for more. Traditional values shall be protected, otherwise humanity is doomed. Not parent 1 and parent 2, but family! Not rules, but law!” Russian embassy tweeted.

The Supreme Court recently ruled that homosexuals in Kenya have the right to associate and that the decision of the Kenya Non-Governmental Organizations Board to prevent LGBTQ+ from forming recognized groups was unconstitutional.
Three judges in the five-judge bench ruled that community members have a right to associate even though the law considers same-sex marriages illegal. Hence, the refusal to register them was discriminatory and contravened the law.
The court said that despite homosexuality being outlawed in Kenya, LGBTQ members still have the right to associate.
However, Justices Mohamed Ibrahim and William Ouko dissented and held a firm stance that the law was clear on the illegality of gays and lesbians.
The Supreme Court ruling sparked anger among many Kenyans and even united both the president and opposition leaders who came out to denounce homosexuality.
